Opal Jewellery Care

As we use opals with matrix NEVER use an ultra sonic on our opal pieces.

Wash gently with lukewarm water and a drop of mild, unscented soap on a soft toothbrush (avoid chemicals), rinse and pat dry, do not soak.

Opals are a softer stone with a mohs hardness of about 5 to 5.6 similar to glass this means they can scratch or crack/break if dropped or hit onto a hard surface.

Avoid contact with hand sanitiser, perfume or any Cosmetic products.

If the silver has been antiqued, clean with a dry soft cloth. Do not use a jewellery polishing cloth as this could remove the oxidation.

On the more detailed pieces also please be careful not to snag clothing on Jewellery.

Most of our pieces have been antiqued to highlight the detail and give the jewellery a vintage feel, this look can change slightly over time.
